Day 1: Chimsom Chuka wins first Head of House as week one takes an unexpected turn – BBNaija

Chimsom Chuka has become the first Head of House of BBNaija Season 11 after winning the inaugural Head of House Challenge. While victory earned him immunity from this week’s eviction, Biggie wasted no time introducing not one, but two twists that immediately changed the game.
This season’s challenge saw the men compete against one another, while the women battled separately for the fastest completion time. As the challenge progressed, several housemates were buzzed out, leaving only the quickest contenders in the running.
Ricky was the first housemate to step up, but it was Chimsom Chuka, the third competitor, who set the pace with a blistering time of 2:08.17. His time remained unbeaten throughout the men’s round.
The women then took to the arena, with Sheba briefly claiming the top spot before Abi edged ahead to become the fastest female housemate. However, neither time was enough to dethrone Chimson Chuka, who secured the first Head of House title of the Show Ya Sef season.
Abi finished as the fastest female housemate and was named this week’s Deputy Head of House.
As Head of House, Chimsom Chuka earned immunity from this week’s eviction, making him the only housemate safe from nominations.
Head of House Twist
For the first time in the history of BBNaija, the Head of House no longer automatically gets access to the exclusive Head of House Lounge. Instead, Chimsom Chuka was instructed to draw a random name from a lucky dip box. The name he picked was Tram, handing him the unexpected privilege of deciding who would enjoy the luxury of the HoH Lounge.
Without hesitation, Tram chose Sheba to join him.
Although Chimsom Chuka walked away with immunity and the Head of House title, Tram and Sheba became the season’s first HoH Lounge occupants—a reminder that in BBNaija, power doesn’t always come with every privilege.
First nominations of the season
With the Head of House Challenge behind them, the Show Ya Sef mood quickly shifted from celebration to strategy.
One by one, the housemates entered the Diary Room and nominated two fellow contestants for possible eviction, revealing early alliances, first impressions and a few obvious targets.
Ricky emerged as the most nominated housemate, with Bells, Nomy and Sultex close behind, while Cassi, Goddessa and Oyin also attracted multiple votes.
Despite the nominations, Biggie had one more surprise up his sleeve.
