Sanusi, who recently assumed office, revealed that the fake number plates bear various designations, including 'Presidency' and 'Senator', among others, and are believed to have been used by criminal elements to deceive and carry out illicit activities.
The recovery of these fake number plates is seen as a significant achievement by the FCT Police Command, as it is expected to help reduce crime and improve security in Abuja. The police are still investigating how these fake number plates were produced and distributed.
The FCT Police Command's efforts to tackle crime in Abuja are ongoing, and the seizure of these fake number plates is a testament to the command's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors in the city.
As the investigation continues, sources say the police are working to identify and apprehend those responsible for producing and using the fake number plates, and to prevent further production and distribution of such plates in the future.
